Guide to creating Members Post
Just take the following steps.
Access your account on the Cemaes Boat Club website with your login credentials. On the home page place the cursor over Members on the top tool bar to the right and click on it. This will then take you to the Members page, scroll down with your cursor and select Add a members news post. This opens a form to Complete see the form below, those boxes marked with a red * require content entering.
Post Title
The description of your post as it will appear on the website.
Post Content
The post content can be a mixture of text interspaced with photos. Remembering to hit the return key between each photo. Having placed your photo, you can now choose the alignment of the picture, left centre or right.
Click on the camera icon this will open, and you can connect to your files select the pictures you want to upload to the club media file. Then Select from the media file your pictures you wish to insert into the form. Down the right-hand side scroll down to “Link To” there’s a drop-down menu, select Media File. Doing this allows other members to see a larger view. Then go down to “Size” again a drop-down menu here it is recommended you select full-size. Go to” Insert into form” and click on. This takes you back to the Post Content page and displays you photo to insert another hit the return key this sets out your photos within your post.
Featured Image
This is a photo of your choice from your personal files and appears as a headline image for the post. You can click and load the photo or just drag from your file to the box.
Post Excerpt
This is where you can enter a brief description of your post this will be displayed along with the featured image on the News page on the website.
Category
There is a drop-down menu here for you to choose the category for your post to be displayed as.
There isn’t an option to preview your post, but it will be reviewed by a website administrator before being published any changes in the layout will be rectified.
Disclaimer
Your post will be published on the website once approved by an administrator and automatically shared with the Cemaes Boat Club Facebook Page. On the website where only members can view the post your name will be shown whereas on the Facebook page no name will be displayed.
