Charles Henry Ashley – Today
Sailing and rowing the Charles Henry Ashley is an amazing experience. The article below was written by one of our members, Keith Muscott, for the magazine ‘Dinghy Cruising’ – Bulletin No. 231, and celebrates his first sail aboard Charles Henry Ashley

Getting to know the Charles Henry Ashley

The Future
After many years of using the winter storage at Peibron Farm, we were delighted to be offered a lease by Horizon to use The Firs which became our new base in October 2022. We were supported in this move by Cronfa Padrig who generously provided a grant that has enabled Cemaes Boat Club to purchase the necessary equipment required for the maintenance of Charles Henry Ashley.
Cemaes Boat Club is still pursuing its long term aim to create a boathouse that will be located nearer to Cemaes at Traeth Mawr, where the Charles Henry Ashley can be stored, maintained and viewed when it is not in Cemaes harbour.

Many, many thanks!
