When the Boat Comes Out.

The season is over and its time to put Charles Henry Ashley into winter quarters.

We have planned to take the boat out on Wednesday 25th October 2023 the crane is booked for 09:00 this of course is weather permitting. We have a team of volunteers made up from the crew some will be on board to row CHA across from the mooring to the harbour wall by Café Bach. Others will be on car park duty coning off the area for the crane and trailer to be positioned and crowd control. Once CHA is on the trailer she will be towed up the high street through the village and onto the Firs warehouse. Where we will jet wash her down before moving her into the warehouse.

Then we can asses what needs doing to maintain the boat and present her for the next season.  As we did last winter there will be the Saturday morning workshops beginning once we establish the work required.
