Blwyddyn Newydd Dda! Welcome to 2023!
Reflecting on the many successes in 2022, the relocation of Charles Henry Ashley to The Firs was quite a significant move – and we were delighted that many people in the community came along to visit on Open Morning to see the new maintenance site.
Routine maintenance is due to re-commence after the Christmas break on Saturday, 7th January and volunteers who are interested in helping are encouraged to come along from 09.00 – 12.00.
Our last social event was the Christmas Dinner at The Gadlys where we enjoyed a delicious meal and welcomed 54 members, friends, family and supporters from the community. We had many raffle prizes donated from local businesses and we’d like to thank them for their generous support:
Llastra Farm, The Gadlys, Butterflies Floral Design, Foel Farm, Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, Green Lane Bike Tours, Cemaes Gallery – plus there were many more donations from members. The raffle raised an amazing £262 and we also received additional donations of £73 from guests who were unable to attend. Thanks must also go to the musicians ‘Off The Cuff’ for providing musical entertainment to round off such an enjoyable evening.

Cemaes Boat Club is looking forward to another positive year ahead and has already made plans to improve on-line systems and organisation. We appreciate all the support we receive from Monality Ltd. in the development of our website and are looking forward to providing an improved on-line experience for all members and supporters.
Our first meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, 3rd January at 7.00pm in The Vigour and we will be starting to plan the 2023 events. Come and join us – all are welcome!
