Charles Henry Ashley Needs YOU.

We all enjoy sailing on Charles Henry Ashley throughout the season, but that can only happen if we service and repair during the winter months. We now have a great facility, The Firs, which is a safe and dry environment to work in.

We have the experience and knowledge provided by our Boatswain and his deputies, with opportunities to learn new skills and obtain a greater understanding of the boat. Maybe you have certain skills from your previous working or current life that you could bring to this small team.

The boat comes out of the water at the end of September until the end of April each year and during that time on most Saturday mornings (from 9am until about 12pm) some of us are in the Firs working away on various tasks. It would be good to see some of our members join us – and you would be very welcome!  It doesn’t have to be every Saturday, but any time you can give is greatly appreciated and lightens the load.
