
Cemaes Boat Club
Clwb Cychod Cemaes/Cemaes Boat Club is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the care, maintenance, and promotion of the classic lifeboat, the Charles Henry Ashley. The Charles Henry Ashley has a long and fascinating history, from its time as a working lifeboat based on the north coast of Anglesey from 1907, followed by de-commissioning in 1932 and dark days of neglect and near ruin, through meticulous restoration to a fully sea-worthy boat which was re-launched in 2009. Today the Charles Henry Ashley can be found in the harbour of Cemaes Bay during the summer, and is regularly sailed and rowed by an enthusiastic band of volunteers.
